چکیده

In this study, a car-following model is put forth to explain the behavior of HDVs (human-driven vehicles), AVs (autonomous vehicles) and CAVs (connected automated in mixed traffic. Based on IDM (intelligent-driver model) molecular dynamic theory, includes velocity surrounding vehicles along with difference headway between each pair vehicles. The drivers’ sensitivity deceleration nearest front vehicle was considered HDV modeling influences various kinds rear were distinguished CAV model. information obtained from real road test HDVs, CAVs, optimum value parameters accuracy verified simulation. results show that simulation for HDVs’, AVs’ CAVs’ under proposed more accurate than IDM, ACC (adaptive cruise control) CACC (cooperative adaptive can be applied simulations traffic, tools concepts nonlinear dynamics especially theory which benefit traffic interaction analysis. addition, study provides valuable suggestions guidance effectively guiding follow improving stability behavior.

Electric-vehicle car-sharing in one-way car-sharing systems considering depreciation costs of vehicles and chargers

In recent years, car-sharing systems have been announced as a way to increase mobility and to decrease the number of single-occupant vehicles, congestion, and air pollution in many parts of the world. This study presents a linear programming model to optimize one-way car-sharing systems for electric cars considering the depreciation costs of chargers and vehicles as well as relocation cost of v...

Modeling animal-vehicle collisions considering animal-vehicle interactions.

Animal-Vehicle Collisions (AVCs) have been a major safety problem in the United States over the past decades. Counter measures against AVCs are urgently needed for traffic safety and wildlife conservation. To better understand the AVCs, a variety of data analysis and statistical modeling techniques have been developed. However, these existing models seldom take human factors and animal attribut...

Fuzzy Sliding Mode Control System Design for Car- Following Behavior in Real Traffic Flow

In this paper a control system has been designed to improve traffic conditions in car following maneuver. There are different methods to design a control system. In this paper design approach is based on the Fuzzy sliding mode control (FSMC) system. The aim of designing FSMC system is to achieve safe and desire longitudinal distance and less lateral displacement. In orde...

RFID-Based Vehicle Positioning and Its Applications in Connected Vehicles

This paper proposed an RFID-based vehicle positioning approach to facilitate connected vehicles applications. When a vehicle passes over an RFID tag, the vehicle position is given by the accurate position stored in the tag. At locations without RFID coverage, the vehicle position is estimated from the most recent tag location using a kinematics integration algorithm till updates from the next t...
